I know it seems some folks swear by Keeley mods, or other mods of the Blues Driver, but I have always been worried about messing up what I have already. The BD-2 that John used was modified by Robert Keeley altering the sound significantly from the stock model. The Keeley mod doesnât add bass if you have that switch turned off, which I always do. Keeleyâs âphatâ mod added some low end to the mostly full-range Blues Driver and, despite the Boss pedalâs reputation as a âtransparentâ overdrive, the restored beef was deemed a welcome addition.
